Trump planning class-action lawsuit against Facebook and Twitter, source says

WASHINGTON – Former President Donald Trump is expected to announce a class action lawsuit against three of the country’s largest tech companies on Wednesday: Facebook, Twitter and Google.

Trump will serve as the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit, claiming he was wrongly censored by the companies, according to a person familiar with the lawsuit. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to provide details prior to the announcement.

Trump was suspended from Twitter and Facebook after his followers stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6. He is currently unable to post on any of the platforms.

Nonetheless, Trump continued to spread lies about the 2020 election, claiming he won for no reason, despite federal and local electoral officials, his own attorney general, and numerous judges, including some appointed by him, saying there was no evidence of mass voter fraud he claims.

Trump will announce this Wednesday morning at an event on his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.
