P&G faces further class action lawsuit over benzene in aerosols

THE WHAT? Procter & Gamble is set to face yet another class action lawsuit over the discovery of benzene in a series of aerosol-based products, according to a report published by Classaction.org.

THE DETAILS The suit charges P&G with misleading consumers over the recalled products by failing to disclose that they are ‘unsafe, ineffective, unfit for… purpose… and otherwise worthless’ and that the US FMCG manufacturer did not compensate affected shoppers sufficiently.

THE WHY? The complainants allege that they wouldn’t have bought the products in question had they known that they contained benzene.
