PE-backed legal tech firm swoops for Sheffield business

A Sheffield-based company that developed a platform used by law firms in the transportation sector has been acquired by a PE-based legal technology company.

Manchester-based inCase’s acquisition of QuoteXpress is the first since Inflexion Private Equity secured a £ 1.5m investment in May 2020.

QuoteXpress was founded in Sheffield in 2014 and has developed an offer calculator for the transport sector.

The range of offer tools is intended to improve the entire technology-based services of inCase and to enable law firms to provide a comprehensive communication service for the benefit of customers and employees.

Sucheet Amin, Founder and CEO of inCase, said: “QuoteXpress is phenomenal software that perfectly complements our inCase solution. It now gives us the ability to support law firms that want to offer their clients the full digital journey.

“Law firms had to deal with new technologies almost overnight after the pandemic. There was a hectic time when companies adapted to new work practices that needed technology to support them. We saw the opportunity to expand our portfolio of services that were in great demand and took the opportunity to do so. “

inCase was advised by David Easdown and Ryan Tweedale of Knights and QuoteXpress was advised by Dr. Advised Heather Anson from Digital Law.
