Musicians Drop Lawsuit Over Streaming of Bill Graham Archives

Two classes of performers and composers who had challenged digital downloads and on-demand streaming of concert footage from the archives of the late San Francisco concert promoter Bill Graham agreed to drop their claims, according to federal court filings.

The musicians said the Bill Graham Archives, which contained performances by more than 900 musicians, violated their copyrights in song compositions and live performances by sharing them without permission under the anti-bootlegging statute of copyright law.
