Milberg Files Real Water Class Action Lawsuit

LAS VEGAS, March 25, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Milberg Coleman Bryson Phillips Grossman PLLC (“Milberg”) has filed a class action lawsuit against Real Water, a Las VegasBottled water brand claiming the product causes liver failure and other side effects.

Real Water, owned by Affinity Lifestyles.com, Inc. The Vegas, Nevada claims its product is “the healthiest drinking water available”. Thanks to its alkaline properties and infusion of “negative ions”, according to Affinity, Real Water “can help your body restore balance and reach its full potential”. However, according to Milberg’s class action lawsuit, Real Water has failed to disclose that its product is defective and may cause health problems such as fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, jaundice, liver failure and hospitalization, although it has been least aware of these harmful effects since the date November 2020.

“The defendant’s real water is not the healthiest drinking water available,” said Milberg’s complaint, filed on March 21st in the U.S. District Court for the district Nevada. “In fact, it is far from it. The defendant’s product does not help achieve its full potential. In fact, the defendant’s product has caused liver damage to children from non-viral hepatitis.”

in the November 2020, a 2 year old from Southern Nevada was hospitalized for liver dysfunction. There it turned out that several children had similar complaints. The only common connection between the group was drinking real water. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) opened an investigation into these cases March 16. On March 21stThe FDA issued a warning that consumers, restaurants, and retailers should not drink real water to cook, sell, or serve. A company press release said Real Water has asked stores to “cease” sales of their products The United States until the problem is resolved. “

“Affinity makes a lot of impressive-sounding claims about Real Water’s health benefits and innovative technology,” he says Dan Bryson, Senior Partner at Milberg. “It does everything to mock the dangers of tap water when, ironically, drinking tap water seems far safer than drinking real water.”

Milberg’s class action lawsuit against Real Water proposed a nationwide class of all persons The United States Who bought the product for personal, family, or household use? It also contains a subclass of California Residents who bought Real Water. The lawsuit seeks damages and / or reasonable relief on behalf of the class members. Two of the lead plaintiffs had nausea after drinking the water, and one plaintiff noticed blood in her urine.

“Consumer class actions play an important role in protecting public health by raising awareness of dangerous products,” said Greg Coleman, Milberg’s senior partner. “Many of the so-called health products are anything but, and litigation like this helps eradicate false claims made by manufacturers.”
