Joanna Giorgio Hilvert of Medfield has joined the law firm Macchi & Macchi LLC in Norwood.
Hilvert will build on the firm’s strong zoning and licensing practice and bring more than 18 years of experience in land use, environmental and commercial law to the table.
Hilvert’s most recent position was at Goulston & Storrs LLP, where she served as a special advisor to the Environmental Group, focusing on environmental due diligence for real estate and corporate transactions, risk management and redevelopment of industrial sites. Prior to Goulston & Storrs, Hilvert was Associate and Counsel at Brown Rudnick LLP where she focused on commercial property acquisitions and disposals, affordable housing, land use and environmental law. In addition, Hilvert worked as an external general counsel for several companies and supported clients in all aspects of business law from formation to availability.

Hilvert received a doctorate in law, magna cum laude, from Boston College Law School and a bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Bucknell University. Hilvert currently resides in Medfield with her husband and four children, where she is an active member of the community and a past member of the Medfield Warrant Committee.
