Yes, Omicron and possibly future COVID-19 variants have thwarted plans to return to the office. But let’s face it, plans to return to the office since they came together didn’t mean “everyone will always be in the office” anyway.

Backed by nearly two years of successful remote work, companies and law firms alike have recognized the benefits of having a hybrid workforce. Now that these new standards have been established, the questions of implementation and long-term sustainability arise. Some of these questions consist of challenges to be addressed, such as security and increasing efficiency. But it also brings opportunities, such as differentiation on the job market and more trust in legal operations teams.
