The US privacy landscape is going to become even more of a patchwork in 2023.

We’ve already seen the California Privacy Rights Act take effect, with data privacy laws in Colorado and Utah, among others, set to follow later this year. We’ve also seen some of the most notable efforts to date to set nationwide privacy standards at the federal level. While they weren’t achieved on the first try, there might still be hope.
