Law360 (April 23, 2021, 7:44 p.m. EDT) – Senate Democrats announced Friday that the first hearing to confirm President Joe Biden’s court decisions will be held on Wednesday. The senators are questioning five candidates, including widespread Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson seen as a potential contender for the US Supreme Court.
The Senate Judiciary Committee said two appeals court candidates would attend the hearing: Judge Jackson, a DC federal judge tapped for the DC Circuit, and Candace Jackson-Akiwumi, a Zuckerman Spaeder LLP candidate and veteran federal defender.
