Gone are the days when corporate lawyers saw technology as a prime rather than a necessity. The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) published its “2021 Legal Technology Report for In-House Counsel” on Tuesday in collaboration with Exterro.
When asked what the most important factor in deciding whether their legal department will buy legal technology, around 64% of 250 in-house lawyers and attorneys surveyed in 18 different countries cited “efficiency”. In second place comes the “cost reduction” (approx. 27%), followed by “consistency” with approx. 5%.
