After hitting the 1 year mark where most lawyers have worked almost entirely remotely, many companies are facing their future as they consider a plan to slowly return to an office-based work environment. Law firm managers weigh the cost benefits that result from reducing stationary locations and moving to a workforce that partially – at least temporarily – wants to stay away.
Some commentators believe that this new normal will drive many lawyers to move from traditional law firms to virtual law firms. I don’t think there will be a large-scale move to virtual law firms as the new operational reality for “traditional” law firms is dramatically undermining the benefits of switching to a virtual law firm for the growth attorney.
