The devastating financial consequences of the COVID-19 crisis have exacerbated the dissolution of law firms and the separation of key lawyers. Firms that were overfunded, undercapitalized, poorly managed, or otherwise unable to cope with sales slowdowns have failed completely or have struggled to adapt. Stakeholders, whether partners or shareholders, have been forced to consider their career options, including voluntarily (or involuntarily) leaving their companies.
