Chris Payne, who specializes in banking and finance law, and Money Khoromi, who specializes in mergers and acquisitions and securities, left Goodmans LLP to form Founders LLP, a Toronto-based corporate transaction boutique. George Waggott, a former labor law attorney with McMillan LLP, also joined the firm.

Langlois Lawyers, LLP

Cynthia Chassigneux joined the firm’s Montreal office as a partner and privacy law attorney, with a focus on biometrics, artificial intelligence, privacy incidents, governance, health research, cross-border data flows and video surveillance.

McCarthy Tétrault LLP

Jeff Oldewening joined the firm’s Toronto office as a partner in the national tax group. Oldewening has experience in innovative tax planning structures.
