Riot Games agrees to pay $100 million in settlement of class-action gender discrimination lawsuit

The settlement includes the 2018 lawsuit, but not the harassment and discrimination lawsuit filed against Riot Games in 2021. On January 7, the CEO of Riot Games, Nicolas Laurent, popularly known as Nicolo, was sued by a former executive assistant, Sharon O’Donnell, for alleged wrongdoing and unwanted sexual advances. Riot Games vigorously denies these allegations. In March, the company announced that Laurent, popularly known as Nicolo, would remain in his position after a third-party investigation commissioned by the studio found no evidence of wrongdoing. The case has moved to arbitration, according to Riot Games.
