Liberals Warn GOP Sens. Not To Slow Judicial Picks, Or Else

Law360 (Jan. 28, 2021, 8:32 p.m. EST) – A senior Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee has called for the appointment of district judges without consulting Republican senators if they engage in “obstruction,” and has suggested that President Joe Biden place traditional geographic restrictions disregarded when filling certain openings for appeal.

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, DR.I. shared his views on judicial officer appointments during a late Wednesday panel discussion hosted by the liberal group Alliance for Justice.
