Legal tech provider snaps up Wolverhampton IT services firm

Access Legal, the Loughborough-based legal technology provider, has acquired integrated cloud IT service provider Oosha.

The acquisition will enable Access Legal, part of the Access Group, to accelerate its journey to consolidate its legal software on an innovative single sign-on platform.

Doug Sawers, Managing Director of Access Legal, said, “Since its official launch in April, Access Legal has evolved and the addition of Oosha is a natural and exciting evolution for us. Technology has never been more important to law firms looking to deliver modern, flexible, and seamless experiences to both clients and employees.

“With his customer-centric approach and his passion for simplified IT and cloud solutions, Oosha’s vision is closely aligned with ours. We continuously invest in our products and services so that customers benefit from new functions and extended functions as well as a high standard of support – all of which help those liable to pay to work more efficiently.

“As the appetite for fully or partially cloud-based systems in law firms has grown rapidly, with the acquisition of Oosha we can go even further for our clients and provide the most modern software and cloud services they need to grow.”

Founded a decade ago and based in Wolverhampton, Oosha has built a core of over 120 customers and has grown to become one of the UK’s leading cloud providers serving the legal, accounting and other sectors. The 70 employees will join the Access Group.

Matt Newton, Co-Founder and General Manager of Oosha, said, “We are excited to join The Access Group, they share our ambition and pursuit of innovation and a customer and employee-centric culture. The main goal of our close-knit team is to make IT services, including cloud migration, easy for law firms and other businesses in the UK. This allows professionals, including lawyers, to concentrate on their work without having to worry about the technology because it just works.

“I would like to thank our loyal customers for their continued support, and we look forward to building our relationships with them as technology advances. We’re also excited to be working with even more law firms and companies in other sectors across the Access Group. “
