BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2021 MetroDesk Media, LLC) – A law firm in Boca Raton claims the Hyundai GV80 – the SUV that Tiger Woods was driving at the time of his accident in California – is unsafe and unrepairable .

Marcus W. Corwin of Corwin Law in Boca Raton has just filed a federal class action lawsuit against Hyundai. The lawsuit names Delray Beach-based Dr. Barbara Feinstein as named plaintiff on behalf of the class, accusing Hyundai of having manufactured a vehicle with “instability and underperformance, including shaking, trembling, vibrating and dragging”.

Feinstein, the lawsuit alleges, leased a 2021 Genesis GV80 only to make it unusable for nearly half of the first 95 days of the lease. Hyundai, Feinstein says, was unable to fix the issues.

According to an expert opinion by the law firm, “Hyundai is accused of promoting the GV80 luxury SUV despite being aware of dangerous defects that affect the vehicle’s driveability and are documented in Korean news media and current customer forums.”

The Florida Lemon Act requires vehicle owners to follow various procedures in order to obtain a refund or a new vehicle, including arbitration before a three-person panel. It wasn’t immediately clear whether Dr. Feinstein – or one of the class members – was involved in the longstanding procedures set up by the Florida Attorney General’s office to fix the alleged vehicle defects.
