Director Progression for JCP Seven At Welsh Law Firm

JCP Solicitors has committed to seven key promotions from its ranks despite last year’s challenges. JCP, one of the largest law firms in Wales, continues to focus on carefully managed growth in line with its long-established ethos of self-growth.

The first promotions, scheduled for October this year, will all appoint David Owen, Associate Solicitor in Commercial Litigation, Ian Rees, Head of Personal Injury, and Jacqui Gower, HR Manager, to all directors.

David, who has been with JCP for more than 10 years, is responsible for the Commercial Debt Collection Practice, which helps commercial customers collect outstanding payments. David also handles litigation related to bankruptcy and professional negligence and works with banking and building society clients who pursue secured and unsecured business liabilities.

Ian has worked in the personal injury field for over 20 years. He leads a team that deals with complex claims, including road and bicycle accidents, work accidents, public liability and asbestos diseases. He focuses on getting a good outcome for people who have suffered through no fault of their own, some with life-changing injuries.

Jacqui’s primary role is overseeing JCP’s 180+ employees in all of its offices in South, East and West Wales. As part of the management team, Jacqui is passionate about creating a culture of inclusion and developing opportunities for continued career development and growth. Jacqui’s role was crucial during the pandemic.

Medical negligence expert Rebecca Bennett and will and probate specialists Joanna Fenoulhet, Sean Boucher and Beverley Bowen will join as directors from April 2022.

Hayley Davies, Director and CEO of JCP, said, “It is a pleasure to see our valued colleagues make progress, especially at a time of additional operational challenges due to the pandemic. All seven will continue to provide unique expertise and professionalism to JCP Solicitors and our customers. As a regional company, we offer a wide range of career opportunities in addition to personal development; from team management to office management roles. We will continue to recognize our exceptional team members while offering a positive work-life balance without the high expectations that are often found in big city companies. “

JCP Solicitors has eight offices in South and West Wales and offers a wide range of services to businesses and individuals.
