Crowley Maritime Corp. has named Trish Skoglund as corporate director for mergers and acquisitions. He leads strategic investments that create sustainable growth and accelerate the company’s competitive advantage.
In her newly created role, Skoglund will contribute to all aspects of strategic acquisitions and will work with Crowley’s businesses to identify growth opportunities that will best maximize the company’s diverse capabilities and offerings. Skoglund will lead a team that builds and manages relationships with potential acquisition partners to maintain a merger and acquisition pipeline for Crowley. Skoglund, based in Jacksonville, Florida, reports to Deepak Arora, Vice President Corporate Strategy.
Previously, Skoglund led the sales and delivery of services for Crowley Fuels, the company’s Alaska-based business unit. As a member of the Fuels executive team, Skoglund was responsible for business development for the transportation, distribution and distribution of all Fuels offerings serving residential, government and commercial customers in over 280 communities.
Prior to joining Crowley, Skoglund spent 12 years in the energy industry in Alaska and Texas, including at BP Wind. In addition, she developed and implemented strategic plans and analysis to improve business performance for other BP units.
Before that, she worked for an international hardwood dealer in the markets in Mexico and Argentina. Skoglund earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Portland State University and an MBA in global business from the University of Portland.
