Class action lawsuit filed against Diocese of Charleston regarding locker room windows at Bishop England

MOUNT PLEASANT, SC (WCBD) – A $ 300 million class action lawsuit has been filed against the Diocese of Charleston for windows installed in Bishop England locker rooms.

Lawyers representing the case held a press conference in Mount Pleasant on Thursday.

According to the lawsuit, the windows installed in 1998 were supposed to be “portals” to see the changing rooms.

But in May 2019, a video of naked students was discovered on a school computer, and the lawsuit alleged that the school’s sports information director made the videos.

The aim of the lawsuit is to reimburse the students for their tuition fees.

Attorneys running the case say the students have been dealing with it for over 20 years.
